The Changing Face of Arts Education.
Overview & Synopsis
Arts education in Saskatchewan schools has been redesigned to meet the growing diversity of artistic needs. Dance, drama, music, and visual arts are taught as interconnected strands that include creative/productive, cultural/historical, and critical/responsive components. This curriculum challenges teachers' perspectives about traditional arts programming and enables students to learn through, as well as about, the arts. (SAS)
