COMPARATIVE STUDY OF MYTHOLOGICAL MOTIFS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK ROMANTIC POETRY
Overview & Synopsis
This dissertation provides a comprehensive comparative-typological analysis of mythological motifs in 19th-century English Romanticism and early 20th-century Uzbek Romantic poetry. By examining the works of P.B. Shelley, John Keats, and Lord Byron alongside the poetry of Abdulhamid Cho‘lpon and Abdurauf Fitrat, this study explores how "myth-making" serves as a transcendental tool for aesthetic and political expression. The research identifies the shared archetypes of the "Rebel Hero" and "Sacred Nature," while distinguishing the cultural shifts from English Individualism to Uzbek Collectivism.
